Dopo la splendida stagione disputata nella serie est-europea e l’apparizione a Monza nella tappa italiana del TCR Europe, il pilota bolognese affronta il round conclusivo della sfida tricolore sul circuito ‘Enzo e Dino Ferrari’. Entrambe le gare in diretta TV e streaming
Al cuor non si comanda. Un adagio che si addice alla perfezione per Giacomo Ghermandi, il quale non ha saputo resistere alla tentazione di chiudere la propria stagione 2023 sulla pista di casa. Il grintoso pilota bolognese, reduce dall’ottima annata disputata nel TCR Eastern Europe e dalla bella ma sfortunata apparizione del mese scorso a Monza nella tappa italiana del TCR Europe, sarà infatti tra i protagonisti del round conclusivo del TCR Italy, in programma sull’Autodromo ‘Enzo e Dino Ferrari’ di Imola dal 27 al 29 Ottobre.
Per ‘Jack’ si tratterà di un gradito ritorno nella competitiva serie tricolore, portando così la sua Audi RS3 LMS schierata dalla Scuderia Ghermandi by Lema Racing a confrontarsi nell’ultimo atto stagionale di un campionato caratterizzato da grandi numeri e che proprio sul tracciato del Santerno incoronerà il proprio vincitore assoluto. Per il driver emiliano, l’obiettivo principale sarà quello di mettere alla prova gli ottimi progressi effettuati nel corso della stagione, durante la quale ha potuto contare al proprio fianco sulla rinomata esperienza di due coach driver di altissimo profilo come Andrea Belicchi e Pepe Oriola.
Ghermandi si è infatti distinto in maniera egregia nella serie est-europea, chiudendo una stagione in crescendo con il sesto posto finale assoluto e la “chicca” del podio conquistato sul tracciato ceco di Most. Risultati arrivati grazie ad un eccellente lavoro del team sulla vettura bavarese ma soprattutto in seguito alla costanza ed alla determinazione messa in atto dal pilota bolognese, il quale ha lavorato duramente per arrivare a competere con avversari dotati di un livello di esperienza decisamente maggiore.
Il fine settimana di Imola sarà inoltre l’occasione per celebrare il finale di stagione con una grande festa nell’hospitality della Scuderia Ghermandi, la quale accoglierà ospiti e tifosi nella giornata di Domenica dopo la conclusione di gara-2: oltre ai gadget messi a disposizione dal team, vi sarà infatti l’opportunità di un rinfresco a base di tortellini, bollicine e musica per chiudere nel migliore dei modi l’annata in pista. Per l’occasione, la vettura del pilota bolognese presenterà una livrea speciale dedicata al tracciato di casa, il cui layout sarà presente in bella evidenza sul tetto dell’Audi RS3 LMS.
“Il richiamo della pista di casa e del TCR Italy è stato troppo forte – sottolinea Giacomo Ghermandi – e dunque abbiamo pensato di concludere proprio a Imola la nostra stagione 2023. La sfida sarà estremamente stimolante, grazie all’elevato livello dei concorrenti al via ed al fatto che si attendono in pista circa quaranta vetture, dunque per noi sarà un’occasione di confronto interessante per mettere alla prova i progressi effettuati nel corso della stagione. Purtroppo non siamo riusciti ad effettuare test nel corso delle settimane precedenti, quindi saremo chiamati alla necessità di riprendere velocemente confidenza su questo tracciato: cercheremo di sfruttare al massimo la giornata di prove per poi farci trovare pronti all’appuntamento con le due gare, con l’obiettivo di ben figurare e di inserirci immediatamente a ridosso dei migliori. Abbiamo inoltre pensato di organizzare un rinfresco aperto a tutti i fans nella giornata di Domenica, subito dopo la conclusione di gara-2: attendiamo tutti presso la nostra hospitality, dove verranno distribuiti gadget e si potrà consumare un pranzo leggero a base di tortellini e…bollicine offerti dal nostro sponsor. Il fine settimana di Giacomo Ghermandi nel TCR Italy scatterà Venerdì 27 Ottobre, con le due sessioni di prove libere in programma alle 9:45 e alle 13:15. L’indomani la qualifica andrà in scena alle 8:30, per poi dare il via a gara-1 alle ore 13:30. L’appuntamento con la sfida finale della stagione sarà poi per Domenica 29, con start di gara-2 alle 10:35. Entrambe le gare saranno visibili in diretta su ACI Sport TV (canale 228 Sky e 52 Tivùsat) e in live streaming sugli account social del TCR Italy.
GIACOMO GHERMANDI RETURNS TO TCR ITALY FOR THE HOME RACE IN IMOLA

The heart cannot be commanded. An adage that suits Giacomo Ghermandi perfectly, who was unable to resist the temptation to end his 2023 season on his home track. The spirited driver from Bologna, fresh from the excellent year held in the TCR Eastern Europe and from the beautiful but unfortunate appearance last month in Monza in the Italian stage of the TCR Europe, will in fact be among the protagonists of the final round of the TCR Italy, scheduled on the Autodromo ‘Enzo e Dino Ferrari’ in Imola from 27 to 29 October.
For ‘Jack’ it will be a welcome return to the competitive Italian series, thus bringing his Audi RS3 LMS fielded by Scuderia Ghermandi by Lema Racing to compete in the last seasonal act of a championship characterized by large numbers and which will take place right on the Santerno track will crown its overall winner. For the Emilian driver, the main objective will be to put to the test the excellent progress made during the season, during which he was able to count at his side on the renowned experience of two very high profile driver coaches such as Andrea Belicchi and Pepe Oriola.
Ghermandi in fact distinguished himself admirably in the Eastern European series, closing a growing season with the final sixth place overall and the “gem” of the podium achieved on the Czech track of Most. The results arrived thanks to the excellent work of the team on the Bavarian car but above all following the consistency and determination shown by the driver from Bologna, who worked hard to compete with opponents with a decidedly greater level of experience.
The Imola weekend will also be an opportunity to celebrate the season finale with a big party in the hospitality of the Scuderia Ghermandi, which will welcome guests and fans on Sunday after the conclusion of race 2: in addition to the gadgets provided arranged by the team, there will in fact be the opportunity for refreshments based on tortellini, bubbles and music to end the year on the track in the best possible way. For the occasion, the Bolognese driver’s car will present a special livery dedicated to his home track, the layout of which will be prominently displayed on the roof of the Audi RS3 LMS.
“The call of the home track and of TCR Italy was too strong – says Giacomo Ghermandi – and therefore we thought of ending our 2023 season in Imola. The challenge will be extremely stimulating, thanks to the high level of the competitors at the start and to the fact that around forty cars are expected on the track, so for us it will be an interesting opportunity for comparison to test the progress made over the course of the season. Unfortunately we were not able to carry out tests during the previous weeks, so we will be called upon to quickly regain confidence on this track: we will try to make the most of the day of testing and then be ready for the appointment with the two races, with the The aim is to perform well and immediately place ourselves alongside the best. We have also decided to organize a reception open to all fans on Sunday, immediately after the conclusion of race 2: we are waiting for everyone in our hospitality area, where gadgets will be distributed and a light lunch based on tortellini and… bubbles offered by our sponsor. Giacomo Ghermandi’s weekend in TCR Italy will start on Friday 27 October, with the two free practice sessions scheduled for 9.45am and 1.15pm. The following day, qualifying will take place at 8.30 am, with race 1 starting at 1.30 pm. The appointment with the final challenge of the season will then be on Sunday 29th, with race 2 starting at 10.35am. Both races will be visible live on ACI Sport TV (channel 228 Sky and 52 Tivùsat) and in live streaming on the TCR Italy social accounts.
